Tour 2: The Wall
During this tour, you’ll discover the last remnants of the legendary Berlin Wall, which divided the city for 28 years.
We’ll explore how it came to be that, in the eyes of Eastern authorities, a wall was deemed necessary.
You’ll learn about the locations of spectacular escapes and how the Wall eventually fell.
We’ll visit parts of the death strip (no man’s land), watchtowers, and take a look at the Berlin Wall Memorial.
You’ll discover the bizarre reality of the inner and outer walls and other obstacles designed to prevent escapes.
In short, an extraordinary history.
This bike tour reveals another facet of Berlin. We explore a fascinating mix of architecture and subcultures. Experience the interesting development and history of Prenzlauer Berg.
Discover the legacy of the communist past along Karl Marx Allee. Then, forward! 😄 (as the communists used to say) to the Raw Gelände, a rough and industrial setting for progressive art and creativity.
The Bethanien Art Center serves as a breeding ground for innovative expression and much more.Along the way, we’ll also find beautiful oases like the Admiralbrücke and Engelbecken.
Lastly, we’ll dive into the vibrant "underground" subculture of the club scene.
And of course, the memorable history of the Berlin Wall is always present.
Tour 4: Berlin Gems: Parks and Off-the-Beaten-Path
On this tour, I’ll take you to some of my favorite spots in the city, offering an inspiring journey through green gems.
Experience the relaxed atmosphere in vibrant Prenzlauer Berg at Arkonaplatz. From there, we’ll bike through Mauerpark on our way to my top favorite, an idyllic and calming spot in a lesser-known park.
After catching your breath, enjoy the city view. Next, discover the city’s second river, the Panke.
We’ll bike along this river until we reach Spreebogenpark, where you can take in a stunning 360-degree view of the city’s diversity.
Or we go deeper into the East and see visit two beautiful parks and the lesser known Sovjet Monument.
On the way back to our starting point, we’ll pass by a few more gems.
